Jakarta, April 30 -- As part of the Hajj and Umrah Task Force, the National Police are following up on a report regarding the arrest of three Indonesians by Saudi Arabian security forces in Mecca on suspicion of fraudulent Hajj services.
Deputy National Police Chief Commissioner General Dedi Prasetyo said his office will team up with the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah and the Indonesian Embassy to communicate this case to the Saudi Arabian Police.
"Regardless of whether Indonesian citizens are facing legal action in another country, the state's obligation is to provide legal assistance," he noted on Thursday.
