Denpasar, Bali, April 16 -- Police in Bali said they found no signs of violence on an Australian man discovered dead in a hotel room in Sanur, indicating the death was likely due to illness.

First Inspector I Gede Adi Saputra Jaya, spokesperson for Denpasar city police, said that a crime scene investigation by the unit found no indication of foul play on the victim's body.

"The scene examination found no signs of violence, and the victim is believed to have died of natural causes due to illness," he said on Wednesday.

The incident occurred at Sanur Resort Watu Jimbar on Jalan Danau Tamblingan in South Denpasar and was reported Tuesday evening at around 6:30 p.m. local time.
