Jakarta, June 3 -- Indonesia aims to cut the number of PLN Group business entities from 44 to 23 by 2028 as part of a broader push to improve efficiency and strengthen national energy security.

"Accelerating transformation and strengthening power system reliability are essential for PLN to support national energy security more effectively," BP BUMN Head and Danantara Indonesia COO Dony Oskaria said Wednesday.

A major focus of the plan is accelerating PLN Group's streamlining program through consolidation, divestments, portfolio restructuring, and simplification of business structures.
