Palu, June 21 -- State utility PT PLN has fully restored electricity services in Central Sulawesi following a magnitude 6.7 earthquake, reconnecting 68,459 customers affected by power outages, the company said on Sunday.

"The accelerated restoration of the electricity network was successfully completed through the cooperation of all field teams," Eko Prihandana, PLN Sulmapana's vice president for distribution control, said in a statement.

The restored infrastructure includes three feeder units, 15 network sections, 651 substations and service connections for 68,459 customers affected by the earthquake.

Power disruptions were reported in five areas: Palu City, Donggala District, Parigi Moutong District, Sigi District and Poso District....
