Jakarta, March 18 -- Digital platform X has set its minimum user age in Indonesia to 16 years old, aligning with Government Regulation No. 17 of 2025 on the Governance of Electronic Systems for Child Protection (PP Tunas), an official said.

Director General of Digital Space Supervision at the Ministry of Communication and Digital Alexander Sabar stated that this policy reflects the global platform's commitment to complying with national regulations while enhancing child safety online.

"We appreciate X's concrete actions as a commitment to compliance and ensuring the protection of children in the digital space," Sabar said in a statement on Tuesday (March 17).
