Jakarta, May 18 -- PT Pertamina Hulu Energi Offshore North West Java (PHE ONWJ) recorded initial production of 1,321 barrels of oil per day (BOPD) from the LLA-6 development well on the LLA Platform offshore in the northern waters of West Java.

"The success of the LLA-6 well was based on experience from the LLE-5ST well that we drilled last year. Given the same target layer, we refined both the formulation and strategy," PHE ONWJ Senior Manager of Subsurface Development & Planning, Adang Sukmatiawan, said in a statement on Monday.
