Jakarta, May 16 -- A subsidiary of state-owned oil company Pertamina, Pertamina NRE (New & Renewable Energy), is exploring collaboration in Bangladesh's renewable energy sector, including solar PV development and opportunities for operation and maintenance (O&M) cooperation.

The initiative was formalized through a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed with Copenhagen Urban Solar Parks BD Ltd (CUSP) earlier this week.

Pertamina NRE President Director John Anis said the partnership marks the first step for both companies in exploring investment opportunities and developing clean energy projects in Bangladesh, in line with efforts to accelerate the energy transition and strengthen regional cooperation.
