Jakarta, June 26 -- State-owned energy company PT Pertamina is closely monitoring one of its giant oil tankers, Pertamina Pride, which remains stuck in the Strait of Hormuz.

Mochamad Iriawan, President Commissioner of Pertamina, stated that the company is using real-time tracking to monitor the very large crude carrier (VLCC) Pertamina Pride, which is operated by its shipping subsidiary, PT Pertamina International Shipping (PIS).

"The Pertamina Pride is now in the Arabian Gulf, preparing to navigate the area while we continuously evaluate security developments and international safety recommendations," Iriawan said here on Friday.
