Wamena, Sept. 18 -- Indonesia's Ministry of Public Works is targeting the construction of People's Schools (SR) in Papua to be completed by March 2027 to help meeting the region's educational needs.

Deputy Minister of Public Works Diana Kusumastuti said here on Friday that construction of the integrated People's Schools in Papua had been underway for a month in districts of Jayapura City, Sarmi, and Biak Numfor.

"The construction of the integrated People's Schools in Papua was started a month ago and the current progress stands at only 4 percent. We are targeting completion in March 2027," Kusumastuti said.
