Jayapura, Papua, Sept. 10 -- The Papua provincial government and the British Embassy in Indonesia launched the Papua Sustainable Cocoa Roadmap in Nambon Village, Jayapura District, on Wednesday.

"The sustainable cocoa roadmap serves as a guideline for developing the cocoa sector while taking into account productivity, farmers' welfare, economic opportunities, and environmental sustainability," Papua Vice Governor Aryoko Rumaropen said following the launch.

He emphasized that cocoa development must deliver tangible benefits to local communities, particularly farmers who serve as the backbone of the sector.
