Jakarta, Sept. 21 -- The Financial Services Authority (OJK) expects banks under the Association of State-Owned Banks (Himbara) to continue applying risk management and good governance, given their significant role in financing the government's priority programs.

"The size of credit or financing disbursed should not be the sole objective. It must also be accompanied by clear credit structures and repayment sources," OJK Chief Executive of Banking Supervision Dian Ediana Rae said in a written response here on Monday.

Overall, he said that OJK views the role of Himbara banks in supporting various government priority programs positively.
