Jakarta, April 6 -- The Financial Services Authority (OJK) stated that it had blocked 953 illegal online lending entities throughout the first quarter of 2026.
During a press conference in Jakarta on Monday, OJK's Executive Head of Market Conduct Supervision, Education, and Consumer Protection, Dicky Kartikoyono, explained that the move followed 10,516 complaints received between January and March 2026.
He detailed that the complaints included 8,515 reports on illegal online loans, 1,933 related to illegal investments, and 68 concerning illegal pawnshops.
