OJK forms task force to prepare mineral exchange oversight
Jakarta, Aug. 4 -- Indonesia's Financial Services Authority (OJK) has established a task force to prepare the regulatory and supervisory framework for the country's future mineral and strategic commodities exchange, which is scheduled to begin operations in 2027.
The OJK Board of Commissioners' Chair Friderica Widyasari Dewi said in Jakarta on Tuesday the task force would also prepare the supporting infrastructure, including the organisational structure and human resources needed to oversee the new market.
Preparations also include drafting regulations, allocating budgets, designing business processes, developing information technology systems, and establishing other operational support.
