Jakarta, Aug. 29 -- Transportation Minister Dudy Purwagandhi said repairs to earthquake-damaged transportation infrastructure in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) would be expedited in stages to restore regional connectivity, public transit, and logistics distribution.

"We are starting to repair terminals, airports, and ports affected by the earthquake in NTT," the minister stated on Friday.

He noted that while several transportation facilities sustained damage, the impact was generally minor, and repairs are progressing in stages to resume public transit operations.

Purwagandhi confirmed that priority is being given to damaged sections with cracks or debris to ensure facilities can quickly resume operations and serve affected communities.
