Jakarta, Aug. 19 -- Several tourist destinations in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) remain temporarily closed as a precautionary measure following the magnitude 7.7 earthquake, with the Tourism Ministry saying some areas still require special attention to ensure visitor safety.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, the ministry said it was conducting monitoring through the Labuan Bajo Flores Tourism Authority Implementing Agency (BPOLBF).

Monitoring is being carried out through inspections of hotels, restaurants, and tourist destinations, as well as through a tourism information hotline for tourists and businesses to ensure the availability of accurate and reliable information.
