Jakarta, Aug. 19 -- The Health Ministry is expanding the Field Hospital at Golo Dukal Stadium in Manggarai Regency, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), bringing its total capacity to 100 beds to support emergency medical operations following a recent earthquake in the region.

Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin confirmed in his statement on Wednesday that the temporary facility was established to absorb patient overflow and support healthcare services at the damaged Ruteng Regional Hospital.

"We have installed five tents here-four are for patients, each accommodating 20 people, and one sterile, isolated tent specifically reserved for surgical procedures," Budi stated.
