Jakarta, Sept. 10 -- Three toll road maintenance workers were killed after a wing-box truck crashed into them on the Wiyoto Wiyono Toll Road in North Jakarta on Wednesday (September 9) night, police said Thursday.

The crash occurred at kilometer 20.200A on the Tanjung Priok-to-Pluit route and involved the truck and a Citra Marga operational pickup, Jakarta Metropolitan Police Traffic Directorate Highway Patrol Unit Chief Adjunct Senior Commissioner Rieki Indra Brata Manggala said.

"Police suspect the wing-box truck driver experienced microsleep, hit traffic cones, and then crashed into the operational pickup and workers repairing the toll road," he said.
