No instruction to ban "Pesta Babi" film screening, top minister says
Surabaya, East Java, May 19 -- Coordinating Minister for Law, Human Rights, Immigration, and Correction Affairs Yusril Ihza Mahendra said that the government does not give any instruction for law enforcers to ban the Pesta Babi ("Pig Feast") film screening.
"The government never instructed officers in regions to dismiss or prohibit (film screening) for university students or the general public," Mahendra stated during his visit to Surabaya State University (Unesa) on Tuesday.
The top minister responded to cases of forced shutdowns by law enforcers in many regions of public screenings of the investigative documentary.
