No Indonesians affected by US-Iran conflict escalation so far: Gov't
Jakarta, July 16 -- Deputy Foreign Minister Arrmanatha Nasir confirmed that no Indonesian nationals have been reported to be affected directly by the escalation of hostilities between the United States and Iran in the Hormuz Strait.
"We received no reports so far about the escalation in the region directly affecting Indonesians there, including those injured from the attacks," Nasir stated after attending the meeting with Commission I of the House of Representatives (DPR) on Thursday.
Indonesia's Foreign Ministry and its embassies and consulates in the Middle East continue strengthening coordination and situational monitoring for the safety of Indonesians in the region, he stated.
