Jakarta, Oct. 6 -- The establishment of the newly created Coordinating Ministry for Downstreaming and Energy Transition is expected to streamline policy implementation and accelerate Indonesia's shift toward clean energy, Investment and Downstreaming Minister Rosan Roeslani said.

"With the existence of a coordinating ministry for downstreaming and energy transition, I am confident that the work will become more comprehensive and proceed more rapidly," Rosan said following the opening of the Indonesia International Sustainability Forum (ISF) 2026 in Jakarta on Tuesday.

He pointed to the national program to develop 100 gigawatts (GW) of solar power capacity as a key project under the energy transition agenda.
