Jakarta, Oct. 2 -- Newly inaugurated Industry Minister Muhammad Sarmuji has pledged to build upon the work of his predecessor, Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita, to advance the domestic industrial sector as a major driver of national economic growth and job creation.

Sarmuji delivered the remarks during the handover ceremony in Jakarta on Friday, following his official swearing-in by President Prabowo Subianto at the State Palace the day before.

Commending outgoing minister Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita for establishing a strong operational base, Sarmuji emphasized that policy continuity paired with fresh innovation will guide his leadership at the ministry.
