Jakarta, March 23 -- The National Police announced a significant increase in traffic heading back to Jakarta during the Eid al-Fitr homecoming return flow.

Police Commissioner Marupa Sagala, spokesperson for the 2026 Ketupat Operation Public Relations Task Force, projected that the peak return traffic will occur in two phases: March 24, 2026, and March 28-29, 2026.

"Vehicle volume has been rising steadily. We urge the public to plan their journeys carefully and take advantage of current traffic policies so the return flow can be managed in stages," Sagala said on Monday.
