Jakarta, March 18 -- Transportation Minister Dudy Purwagandhi officially opened the national one-way traffic system on the Trans Java Toll Road on Wednesday, three days before Eid al-Fitr 2025.

The system begins at kilometer 70 of the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate in West Java and extends to kilometer 414 at the Kalikangkung Toll Gate in Semarang, Central Java.

The rollout was marked by a flag off by the minister, along with ranks of the police, toll road operator Jasa Marga, and traffic accident insurer Jasa Raharja. The one-way traffic officially began at 1:25 p.m.

"This is a manifestation of the state's presence to ensure the best service for those traveling home for Eid," Purwagandhi remarked after the ceremony.
