Jakarta, Sept. 9 -- Indonesia's Navy Marines and troops from partner countries conducted urban warfare drills in Lampung as part of Super Garuda Shield (SGS) 2026, testing combat tactics in complex environments.

The drills combined modern warfare strategies to improve marines' agility, stealth and combat effectiveness in asymmetric and urban warfare scenarios, Indonesia's military said Wednesday.

The exercises took place Tuesday, Sept. 8, at an infantry brigade facility in Lampung, during both daytime and nighttime operations to sharpen tactics in confined areas.

The Indonesian military said the urban warfare simulation was completed successfully without incident.
