Jakarta, Nov. 3 -- MRT Jakarta confirmed a fire at a kiosk on the B1 level of Blok M Hub in South Jakarta on Monday afternoon, saying two employees were injured.

Blok M Hub operations staff and other personnel quickly extinguished the fire with portable extinguishers and activated the smoke-extraction system, MRT Jakarta corporate secretary division head Rendy Primartantyo said in a statement on Tuesday.

Firefighters from the Kebayoran Baru Subdistrict also inspected the site to ensure the affected area was safe, he said.

Two employees of the Cuanki Sadaya kiosk were injured. They received first aid at the scene before being taken to a health facility for further treatment.
