Jakarta, April 16 -- Deputy Chairman of the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) Hidayat Nur Wahid has reminded the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah to prioritize the successful implementation of this year's Hajj amid various challenges, including rising flight costs.

In a statement issued here on Thursday, Wahid said this year's Hajj roll-out will be the first under the ministry and is taking place amid global dynamics affecting rising flight costs.

"The main focus of the ministry must be to ensure the smooth implementation of the 2026 Hajj," he said.
