Mount Anak Krakatau eruption impacts 764 flights at Soekarno-Hatta
Jakarta, Sept. 6 -- Indonesia's state-owned airport operator, also known as InJourney Airports, recorded 764 scheduled flights affected at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, following the temporary closure of its airspace due to volcanic ash from Mount Anak Krakatau.
Assistant Deputy for Communication & Legal Affairs at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Yudistiawan, stated that the affected movements comprised domestic, international, and cargo operations.
"The 764 affected flights represent an accumulation of cancellations, delays, and diversions to alternate airports-and related operational adjustments," Yudistiawan said in a statement on Sunday.
