Jakarta, March 23 -- Minister of Transportation Dudy Purwagandhi has urged travelers to avoid the peak of the 2026 Eid return flow, which is expected to fall on March 24, 28, and 29, 2026.

"To that end, we urge the public to return to the Greater Jakarta area on March 23, 2026, by utilizing the collective leave, or during the period of March 25-27, 2026, by taking advantage of the Work From Anywhere (WFA) policy encouraged by the government," he said in a statement here on Sunday.

Based on data from the Jasamarga Tollroad Command Center (JMTC), the peak of the return flow is predicted to occur on Tuesday (March 24), with an estimated volume of more than 285,000 vehicles.
