Jakarta, Oct. 4 -- Environment Minister Jumhur Hidayat said the government is ready to connect green energy from regional waste processing with large industries as an alternative energy source.

In a statement confirmed here on Sunday, Hidayat explained that the step was taken so that waste processed into alternative fuel has clear buyers, allowing regional waste processing to run sustainably.

"The government will push if there are difficulties regarding buyers and so on, and we will try to communicate," he said.

According to him, buyers have also contacted the Environment Ministry, asking where such products are available so they can obtain them.
