Jakarta, May 10 -- The Indonesian Ministry of Manpower has reaffirmed its commitment to protecting the labor rights of people with disabilities in the industrial sector by promoting inclusive workplaces.
The ministry's Secretary General, Cris Kuntadi, said support provided by the government goes beyond the recruitment process. It also includes workplace adjustments and the provision of assistive facilities tailored to the needs of people with various disabilities.
"The ministry is present to provide support, from identifying suitable job roles to ensuring supporting facilities are available, so that workers with disabilities can work productively and comfortably," he said in a statement in Jakarta on Sunday.
