Jakarta, Aug. 28 -- Indonesia's Primary and Secondary Education Ministry disbursed Rp4.18 billion in relief funding to support the recovery of 71 courses and training centers (LKPs) affected by floods and landslides that swept Aceh and North Sumatra.

Director General of Secondary and Special Education Tatang Muttaqin noted in a statement on Friday that the ministry launched the initiative in response to reports of disrupted capacity-building activities due to last November's disasters.

"The natural disasters across Aceh and North Sumatra damaged structures, submerged training devices, and challenged learning continuation at LKPs," he remarked.
