Jakarta, June 22 -- The Ministry of Manpower projects that the green economy will create employment opportunities for around 3.88 million people across Indonesia in 2026, according to the Employment Outlook 2026.

Anwar Sanusi, head of the ministry's planning and development body, noted that the projection is supported by intensified downstreaming efforts to boost the value of natural resources and the continued development of new and renewable energy.

As quoted in a statement here on Monday, he also attributed the positive outlook to the expanding practices of the circular economy, transportation electrification, and industrial modernization.
