Jakarta, May 21 -- Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Taufik Hidayat emphasized that he will intensively communicate with the Indonesian National Sports Committee (KONI) and the Indonesian Olympic Committee (KOI) to improve Indonesia's sporting achievements.

"We will maintain more intensive communication, particularly regarding the government's targets for Indonesian sporting achievements," Hidayat told reporters after opening the 2026 KONI National Working Meeting and Extraordinary National Sports Conference, here on Thursday.

Hidayat said KONI is crucial in developing athletes and the national sports ecosystem.
