Jakarta, May 8 -- Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin said the Professional Disciplinary Council (MDP) will conduct a medical audit following up on the investigation into the death of Dr. Myta Aprilia Azmi, an intern doctor at KH Daud Arif Hospital.

The minister responded to reporters' question regarding sanctions for the doctor found by the Ministry of Health to have instructed an intern to manipulate the schedule to create three shifts and forge Dr. Myta's signature.

"We hope this (medical audit) can be completed within a week so that we can draw conclusions. Based on these conclusions, the Professional Disciplinary Council, through the Indonesian Health Council, will propose sanctions," Sadikin informed on Thursday (May 7).
