Indonesia, March 27 -- Deputy Minister for Women's Empowerment and Child Protection (PPPA) Veronica Tan expressed hope that protection and economic empowerment for women and children can begin in villages through programs formulated in development planning deliberations.

"We hope integrated protection for women and children starts from the village. This is what we are pursuing through deliberations, how ministerial programs originating from the deliberations are truly from women's perspectives," she said here on Friday.
