Jakarta, Aug. 3 -- The Indonesian Ministry of Industry expressed optimism for continued growth of the national sportswear market, driven by a shift toward healthier and more active lifestyles.

Speaking at the opening of Indonesia Sport and Active Wear (ISAW) & Cosmetic Day 2026 in Jakarta on Monday, Deputy Minister of Industry Faisol Riza noted that the sport and activewear sector shows promising prospects, fueled by rising consumer demand for high-quality, innovative products.

Faisol cited Euromonitor International's Sportswear in Indonesia report published in February 2026, which valued the domestic sportswear market at approximately Rp38.5 trillion (US$2.14 billion) in 2025-up about 8 percent from the previous year.
