Jakarta, April 24 -- Indonesia's Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry is taking action with the state electricity company PT PLN to address power supply issues after Jakarta faced two blackouts this month.
"I have coordinated the matter and the team from the Directorate General of Energy Power is looking for the blackout cause," Deputy Minister Yuliot stated on Friday.
The ministry team has been dispatched to electrical facilities to determine the specific technical cause of the recent power failures in the capital.
He also said that the authorities cannot rule out the blackout being caused by installation replacement works in several substations.
