Jakarta, April 6 -- Indonesia's Higher Education, Science, and Technology Minister Brian Yuliarto has called on universities nationwide to implement a one-day-a-week work-from-home (WFH) policy for lecturers and administrative staff.
"We encourage universities to evaluate and adopt options that allow staff to work from home one day a week," he told reporters in Jakarta on Monday.
Yuliarto outlined several measures to improve efficiency in higher education institutions, enabling lecturers and staff to adopt a weekly remote work arrangement.
He said universities could deliver lectures remotely or through hybrid models while maintaining academic quality and learning outcomes set by each study program.
