Jakarta, Aug. 30 -- Indonesia's coordinating law minister urged the public to reject unverified claims about violent incidents following demonstrations in Jakarta on August 27, saying authorities are still investigating two cases.

Coordinating Minister for Law, Human Rights, Immigration and Corrections Yusril Ihza Mahendra said here Sunday that Jakarta police were investigating the death of Bambang and an assault on 12th-grade student Faturrohman.

"Authorities are investigating the cases to reach comprehensive conclusions and identify those behind and responsible for the violence," Yusril said, promising firm legal action against anyone found guilty.
