Indonesia, May 4 -- Primary and Secondary Education Minister Abdul Mu'ti outlined measures to reduce the number of out-of-school children especially in disadvantaged, frontier, and outermost (3T) regions.
He said the country's archipelagic geography remains one of the primary challenges in ensuring quality education for all citizens.
"With regard to children living in 3T areas, we realize they are not reached by formal education services. Therefore, we aim to strengthen non-formal and informal education to equip them," Minister Mu'ti said on Monday.
Regarding efforts to improve access to formal education the ministry is ready to develop One-Roof Schools which integrate multiple levels of education within a single complex.
