Jakarta, May 4 -- Minister of Culture Fadli Zon encouraged local governments to improve the management of cultural assets in their regions to attract more visitors and impact literacy and community welfare.

"We also encourage provincial, district, and city governments to improve their cultural assets, including museums and cultural heritage sites," he said here on Monday.

He said that local governments could collaborate with the Ministry of Culture, other ministries and government agencies, and the private sector in improving the management of cultural assets in their regions.
