Jakarta, May 22 -- Meta has expanded its enhanced Instagram safety features for teenagers to Indonesia, introducing content controls modeled after the PG-13 movie rating system alongside a stricter "Limited Content" tier for parental control.

The rollout builds on a suite of safety measures first introduced by the tech giant in October 2025 across the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, and Canada.

Bernie Moestafa, Meta's Head of Public Policy for Indonesia, announced the expansion on Friday at a digital safety forum in Jakarta.
