Jakarta, May 1 -- President Prabowo Subianto assured that he will continue to protect workers' interests, including from the threats of layoffs, as part of government's efforts to ensure public welfare.

The statement was made following his announcement of the issuance of Presidential Decree No. 10 of 2026 concerning the Establishment of a Task Force on Layoffs Mitigation and Labor Welfare, during the 2026 International Workers' Day event in Jakarta on Friday.
