Jakarta, July 16 -- Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto has expressed his optimism that Abadi Masela Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) National Strategic Project (PSN) will drive economic development in eastern Indonesia, while bolstering national energy independence.

Delivering his speech virtually at the project's groundbreaking ceremony from the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta on Thursday, Prabowo said the project serves as a crucial milestone for national development and the improvement of public welfare.

"I am confident this project will become a catalyst for Indonesia's advancement, especially for eastern Indonesia," he remarked.
