Jakarta, Oct. 27 -- Manpower Minister Yassierli has set a target to complete the initial discussions on the 2027 provincial minimum wage (UMP) by the end of November 2026.

"Our target is the last week of November. It will be by the end of November, although I cannot recall the exact date. By then, at the very least, we aim to have completed the evaluation at the ministry level," Yassierli told reporters here on Tuesday.

He further explained that discussions and calculations concerning the 2027 UMP must follow established mechanisms and procedures, including consultations with the National Wage Council.
