Jakarta, April 24 -- Indonesian Manpower Minister Yassierli emphasized that the expansion of social security must reach workers in the informal sector.
This expansion targets domestic workers and ride hailing drivers along with couriers and those in the fisheries and plantation sectors.
In a statement in Jakarta on Friday he underlined that social protection is a fundamental right for every worker and must be accessible without exception.
"Our core principle is that every citizen has the right to employment and a decent living. This serves as the foundation for all of our policies," Yassierli said.
