Ambon, Maluku, Sept. 29 -- The Maluku provincial government projects 33 vessels operating under Technical Cooperation Guidelines (TCG) in Indonesia's Fisheries Management Area 718, Tual, will generate 9,458.20 tons of fish annually.

Maluku Governor Hendrik Lewerissa said the Indonesia-China fisheries cooperation under the TCG scheme could boost production while generating economic benefits for communities in the province.

"Thirty-three TCG vessels operating in Zone 03 are projected to produce about 9,458.20 tons annually," he said in a press statement received here Monday.

Target species include shrimp, pelagic fish, demersal fish and squid, Lewerissa said.
