Jakarta, Aug. 3 -- Indonesia's Ministry of Manpower stated its National Internship Programme (MagangHub) is aimed at preparing fresh university graduates' skills to help reduce youth unemployment.

"The Ministry expects the National Internship Programme can contribute to reducing youth unemployment by enhancing the competitiveness and job readiness of fresh graduates," Head of the Ministry's Bureau of Public Relations Faried Abdurrahman Nur Yuliono said here on Monday.

Furthermore, Yuliono said one of the main challenges faced by young graduates is the gap between the competencies acquired through formal education and the actual needs of the labor market.
