Jakarta, April 29 -- A member of Commission V of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI), Rofik Hananto, called for the accelerated construction of double-double track (DDT) following the train collision at Bekasi Timur Station, West Java.

According to him, accelerating the development of railway infrastructure in agglomeration areas is crucial as a long-term solution to address the burden on heavily congested railway lines, such as the Jakarta-Cikarang line.
