Bogor, West Java, July 1 -- President Prabowo Subianto underscored the importance of impartial law enforcement, saying the law must not be used to serve particular political or group interests.

According to him, the law must protect the people, especially the vulnerable groups.

He emphasized that, as a country founded on the rule of law, the government is responsible for ensuring legal protection and justice for all citizens.

"The law must be a refuge for the weak. The law must not be sharp toward those below, blunt toward those above. It should not be a tool for those with money," he said at the 80th Bhayangkara Day commemoration at the Mobile Brigade Corps (Brimob) Training Unit in Cikeas, Bogor District, West Java, on Wednesday.
